Why did you become an actor?

I became an actor because it was something I felt I did well and because I had tried a lot of other stuff and missed the energy of performing. I felt something was missing in every other job I had.

What would you be if you're not an actor?

HMMM... I would love to teach voice... if I could play piano (yes mom, you were right- i shouldn't have quit.) I would also love to coach basketball or track.

What do you do to prepare for an audition?

This is going to sound really strange but the biggest thing for me is confidence. So whatever I need to do to be able to go into that room prepared and confident, I do. That can be making sure I am off the page (have the lines memorized), or dressed a certain way... whatever. I have found that confidence, for me, is the number 1 thing.

What's your plans for the next 5 years?

I just hope I continue to have the opportunity to work with great people. I have been so incredibly fortunate to work with amazing directors and actors. It is inspiring, educational, and just plain fun. That's why you get into this, I think. You love the work because of the people involved.

Any tips for upcoming actors?

I think the most important thing is to take in everything you can in life. Educate yourself about as much of this world as you can. Push your comfort zone, hang with people you don't necessarily think you would normally. Learn.
