I was born in Ames, Iowa but grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana. I have 2 parents (strange huh?) and one "little" brother, Jeff who is a landscape designer and amazing at it.

I didn't start really singing or performing until I was a junior in high school. Before then, I was a jock and played football and basketball, while being named all state in the high jump in track. My first show was West Side Story (Riff) and I was hooked. The next year in school we did The King and I where I played Lun Tha (yes-big WHITE boy painted like an oompa loompa).

I attended Butler University in Indianapolis where I studied voice with my great teacher, Steven Stolen. That brings me to Les Miz! During the 4 years (Good Lord) that I was in Les Miz, I met my wife, Annie. We were engaged in November of 1999 and married in March of 2001. If you can find someone like her, I highly suggest marrying them! They don't come around often in life.

I left LM to do Baz Luhrmann's La Boheme (Marcello). It was by far the most amazing experience I have had in theatre.  Hugh Jackman (name dropping) told me that in a person's entire career, they will be lucky to have 5 projects they will want to carry with them forever. Boheme was DEFINITELY that to me. When Boheme prematurely closed (don't get me started!), I was lucky enough to get cast in Thoroughly Modern Millie (Trevor Graydon). It was great to do a show that people laughed in and where death wasn't involved! But I left to go back to Boheme when it came out to L.A.. After the run of Boheme ended in L.A., my wife and I decided to stay and call LA home.

That's pretty much it, minus all the minutia. For those of you who made it to the end of this... bless you.
